Non-Profit Research & Media

About Vitalium

Vitalium is a non-profit organization with a focus on conducting both field and tier-1 research regarding the human potential and altered states of consciousness.

Our interest in the field of human potential stems from life-changing experiences that affected the perspective and trajectory of the Vitalium founders.

In addition to research, media creation consisting of film, podcasts, and written articles to present our journey of inquiry for the general public is essential to disseminate the information.

Our vision is to develop comprehensive programs to validate the “supernormal” by providing both experimental and experiential experiences that Vitalium members can explore with both analytical and open-mindedness.

Albert Chen

Albert Chen Founder

@masteralbertchen

Albert is a former tech entrepreneur who suffered from debilitating sciatica due to a back injury over 30 years ago. After exhausting all conventional treatment options, he encountered a rare Qigong Master who healed his sciatica without physical contact. The experience was both incredible and transformative.

“If this is real, this is the most valuable thing in the world. If this can really fix chronic pain, this will change the world.”

Inspired by this healing, Albert dedicated the next 25+ years to training under his master, researching rare healing modalities and other human potential abilities. Today, he is recognized as one of the top qigong masters. To preserve this rare lineage and expand its impact, he founded Vitalium.

John Chavez

John Chavez Co-Founder

John Chavez is the founder of the non-profit organization DMT Quest which formally launched in 2021. DMT Quest has a primary focus on facilitating research regarding endogenous psychedelics and altered states of consciousness. He was inspired to form this organization following a life-changing, mystical-type experience in 2013 that thrust him into the field of the supernormal.

Prior to this experience, John had been immersed in the fields of sports marketing with an earlier career in the biotech industry. Following the 2013 experience, he wrote 2 books titled, “Questions for the Lion Tamer 1 & 2” which focus on the physiological correlates of supernormal states of consciousness. These books would provide the framework with which DMT Quest research programs are based upon.

In 2021, DMT Quest would release its first documentary which received accolades from globally recognized figures such as author Graham Hancock, human potential pioneer Wim Hof, and the extraordinary artist Alex Grey. The vision for Vitalium is to combine key aspects of DMT Quest in order to provide optimal research, media, and communicative strategies to educate the general public regarding the supernormal.

Teresa Tang

Teresa Tang Co-Founder

Teresa Tang is a technology, data, and media entrepreneur and executive who has helped build and scale some of the world's most influential organizations, including MasterClass, CBS Interactive (now Paramount), and GoldHouse. Known for bringing clarity to complexity, recognizing patterns, and identifying new opportunities, she has spent her career translating insights and emerging ideas into scalable products, organizations, and lasting impact.

Alongside her data-driven career has been a lifelong curiosity about what humanity is truly capable of. From an early age, Teresa had experiences that challenged conventional frameworks and expanded her view of what is possible. That curiosity led her to practice and preserve a rare qigong healing modality and its teachings. To expand their impact and bring new frontiers of human potential into the world, she co-founded Vitalium.

She believes the greatest breakthroughs of this century will come not only from the technologies we create, but from unlocking the extraordinary capabilities that already exist within us.
